Erich Cabe, hailing from the mountains of Western Pennsylvania, initially made his mark as a world-class skier before managing a ski and snowboard school with 135 instructors. After his fourth knee replacement, Erich had to shift gears. He came to Washington, D.C., to embark on a new adventure: real estate. He helped a friend start a finance company in the 1990s, buying, remodeling, and selling homes, and discovered his next passion.

Erich learned quickly that real estate, like skiing, requires patience, dedication, and a steady hand to navigate the terrain. And like teaching, it requires a different plan for every person—and every home. The best part for Erich? Working closely with his clients to facilitate transactions. Tailoring his approach for each engagement, Erich negotiates optimal outcomes while his calming presence and easy communication style keep clients steady.

Alec is a DC native. Before real estate, he specialized in historic preservation at The Charleston Museum and The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and then established his own firm in Boston and DC helping museums and private clients with their collections.

Earning the trust of clients and helping them make difficult decisions have always been the most rewarding part of Alec’s work. His mission is to make buying or selling a home a positive, stress-free experience.

Alec and his family live in the charming town of Glen Echo, close to the Kent neighborhood of DC where his wife grew up and his mother-in-law still owns a home. Both of his sons attended Clara Barton preschool, Bannockburn ES, Pyle MS, and Whitman HS.

After graduating from Colorado State University with a business degree in finance and real estate, Amanda's career has taken her on a stimulating path of analytical yet creative assignments. Beginning at Humana, in thier Chicago office, Amanda worked in the accounting department where she was able to massage her love of spreadsheets. (Yes, she is an Excel enthusiast...) In 2006, she transferred to the Washington DC area and began working at Astra HR as a tax supervisor. It didn't take long for executives at Astra to notice her strangely creative aptitude and, upon this realization, the company quickly offered her a position in the marketing department. Amanda accepted this challenge with intrigue and excitement. In 2009, she had the opportunity to put both the creative and mathematical sides of her personality to work at Gensler, the global design and architecture firm. In their Finance department, she was stimulated by the strict financial regimen but worked closely with creative artists and project managers which stimulated innovative ideas. Worksheets became beautiful pieces of art and workflows became charismatic.
 
As 2012 drew to a close, she and her husband, Erich, had their first child, Max. Upon meeting Max, she immediately put her professional career on hold and fully submerged herself in motherhood. Erich, incredibly lovingly, supported this path as the best for their family. In 2016, their second child, Brooks, was diagnosed with Lymphoma. After three and a half years of treatment, Brooks has recovered and life resumes at a more normal pace for their small family. This freedom has allowed for Amanda to again rejoin the professional workforce.
 
With her husband as a preeminent realtor in the DC Metropolitan area, it only makes sense that she would put her talents to use in his business. She maintains the company accounting but finds real joy in creating Erich Cabe Team advertisements. As the business evolves and her children become more independent, she finds more ways to harness her role as the marketing coordinator. Helping to create and launch marketing campaigns, design brochures and other assets, and (especially) champion Erich's acumen, Amanda's days are full of fun and stimulation. She is insightful, adaptable, clever and a gifted writer.
 
Aside from the ever-dynamic role in the (now) family business, Amanda is a fitness enthusiast and an avid runner. Beyond these things, if she has any freetime, you can find her splashing paint onto a canvas or wood or any spare object around the house.

Danielle Rockwood, originally from Michigan, has called Washington home for more than 20 years. A graduate of Michigan State University, she currently resides in Chevy Chase, DC. Danielle’s previous experience in Merrill Lynch client relations has given her a unique perspective on how to provide top-notch service. James Brooke grew up on Long Island: home of amazing pizza, incredible bagels, the best delis and intense sport rivalries! James' experiences are more diverse than pizza toppings though and he brings his distinct knowledge to the plate at the Erich Cabe Team.
 
After obtaining an associates degree in liberal arts, James served in the Army National Guard for 8 years. He was called to serve on 9/11 and worked at Ground Zero providing heroic assistance to our country in that time of need. He was activated 3 times that year and, each time, he helped to protect the weak, save lives and restore neighborhoods.
 
All the while serving his nation and community, James was concurrently earning his bachelor's degree in History and pursuing a career in the mortgage industry. Starting in data entry, he quickly worked his way up to vice president of the mortgage company. Highly-motivated, self-determined and resolute James is no stranger to multitasking and mastering challenges. This proved especially useful when the mortgage brokerage industry fell apart and James had to quickly pivot. He soon obtained a real estate license and started renting homes in Brooklyn.
 
Since this time, in 2008, James has been a licensed Realtor. He has extended his proficiency beyond New York, working in Texas and, ultimately, Washington DC.
 
He has over fifteen (15) years of progressive administrative and management experience, with varying responsibilities along with almost two years as a business analyst. At this point in his real estate career, he enjoys using his operations and business experience to help the Erich Cabe Team clients negotiate the complex process of selling and buying homes. James specializes in assisting throughout the real estate process, providing excellent customer service, guiding understanding through complex sales processes and ensuring adhering to strict mortgage standards. He is a diverse and steadfast professional who knows that with the right team, any project will realize success. That team for him today is the Erich Cabe Team.
 
When he is not working, above all else, James loves spending time with his young daughter. Somehow he manages to squeeze extra hours into the day in order to spend time with her. James is also an avid sports enthusiast. He, himself, had to stop playing ball a few years ago because of massive shoulder surgery caused by years of abuse. That doesn't stop his appreciation for others playing the games. Doting on his daughter, he shares his love for all New York teams, namely the Giants, Nicks and Rangers! But, since he seems to be a glutton for punishment, he remains a steadfast Mets fan.
