I had the wonderful experience of working with Joe Sweeney while searching for my first home. As a new home buyer, I had no clue as to what was going on, but Joe made the process easy and pain free. Being a picky person, Joe was patient and took me out multiple times to view all the homes that were on my list. Joe's extensive knowledge of the DC market is very impressive, somehow knowing all the ins and outs of every single neighborhood. He handled all negotiations like a master and was able to save me a bunch on my purchase. Also.... Joe can parallel park in any spot, any size. Don't believe me? Joe is a "5 out of 5” in every way. My experience with him during my son's recent purchase of a coop in Northwest DC was phenomenal. My son had a very limited budget, but that did not affect Joe's attention level or enthusiasm one iota! As a local, he is extremely knowledgeable about DC and suburban Maryland, provided excellent guidance throughout the process, consistently responded very quickly to our (many) questions, and negotiated a very fair price for the property. As a coop and estate sale with an out of state seller, the transaction was rather complicated, and Joe walked us through each step with great patience and aplomb. Even more important than his realty skills, Joe is a great person. We are already working with him on another transaction.

It was a pleasure working with Joe on both our home purchase and condo sale. Joe helped us purchase a home in upper Northwest Washington. While looking for the right home, he listened to us, steered us in the right direction, was never pushy, and was always extremely responsive. His knowledge of the area and relationships with other agents helped us get a good deal and a very smooth purchase transaction. In selling, Joe gave us advice on how to stage our place to sell it quickly and maximize the sales price. He kept a close eye on the market to help us select a list price that was realistic and competitive. Through it all, Joe was a pleasure to work with and someone we like on a personal level. I cannot tell you how amazing my experience was from beginning to end. I feel bad for others because many of my friends and relatives have had a bad or mediocre experience with their realtors. But I can honestly say that Joe has been SUPER helpful and extremely responsive every step of the process. He knows so much about the area and specific buildings which comes in so handy with negotiations. And he will give honest recommendations based on his experience. But he will always go with what you decide. I still can't believe he responds so quickly. It's like he works 24/7. The point is, for a first time home buyer, I couldn't have been happier.
